Case AWS

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world's most comprehensive and widely adopted cloud offering. The South America region (São Paulo) was the 8th AWS region to be launched in the world, back in 2011. Since then, it has supported different business models and sizes, from different segments and industries, such as startups, large companies, governments and universities across Latin America, who use cloud services to innovate and transform the way we live, consume and use data. Millions of customers around the world, including the fastest-growing startups, largest enterprises, and leading government agencies, trust AWS to power their infrastructure, become more agile, and reduce costs.

In Brazil, AWS has already invested more than US$3.8 billion (around R$19.2 billion) to build, connect, operate and maintain its data centers since its arrival in the country. Its impact on the Brazilian economy is estimated at US$4.8 billion, approximately R$24.1 billion, as the investment generated a positive ripple effect across various industries and sectors, mainly through local clients such as: Ânima Educação, Arezzo&Co, C6 Bank , iFood, Itaú, Grupo Boticário, Localiza, Mercado Livre, Nubank, Petrobras, Sírio-Libanês and Albert Einstein hospitals and the Ministry of Health.
